Weekend at Grandmas

, Joe plays Roller Hockey in a League up in Burlington every other Sunday. They play every other Sunday. They take a break during the summer so for the last month (June), they play every Sunday. It is pretty much a full day for Joe and I on Hockey Sundays. We wake up early get our buns up to Burlington, Katie in tow. Watch daddy play hockey for a few hours. Done by 2 then we go to Grandmas for the afternoon. These days are typically rough on Katie, her Mondays are filled with trying to calm a fussy tired baby. 

So we decided to drive up Saturday morning and stay the weekend at Grandmas instead!

We spent the afternoon down on the beach with Katie and the dogs. Just walking the tide flats and enjoying the sun.

Grandma wanted to put Katie down for bed so I took her up on it and went down to the beach with the gang for a fire and a bottle of wine.

Joe and Greg went out in the Kayak to drop some crab pots. Hoping for a crab feast the next day. 

Sunday Morning. AKA Hockey Sunday. Grandma, Greg and Katie were going to stay at the house. Grandpa wanted to work on the stairs and Grandma wanted Katie time.

Once the boys unloaded their gear and showered we were ready to go down to the beach for some swim time.

Katie took a little swim in the river. Nice and warm! She also got to sit in the sand and squish the sand between her toes and feet. She loved squeezing the sand! She was laughing and giggling the whole time in the water. 

after an hour in the water and playing around it was time for a bottle, diaper change, and some relaxation.

The weekend was fun and relaxing. We loved playing on the beach and look forward to the next few weekends up at Grandmas!!!
